Routine childhood vaccines are due at birth, 6 weeks, 4 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and 4 years of age. Additional vaccines may be required for Aboriginal and medically at risk children. The National Immunisation Program Schedule can be accessed and downloaded from the link below.
It is our policy that vaccinations cannot be administered prior to the age interval outlined by the immunisation schedule. Patients must also be registered with Medicare and hold a valid Medicare card to be immunised in our clinic. If you do not have a valid Medicare card, please make an appointment with your doctor to discuss your options.
Vaccination records will be uploaded to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) and will be accessible online at Medicare up to two weeks post-vaccination.
To book your child in for immunisations, please call us on 8255 1999. Please note vaccination appointments are not made after 3 pm.
Your child will first see the doctor for their routine check up and will then be seen by our nurses who will administer the vaccination. Allow up to 40 minutes for the appointment.
Please be sure to inform reception of the vaccines that your child is due (i.e. 4 years).
If your child is not up to date with their vaccinations or has missed one or more of the vaccinations on the schedule, we ask that you make an appointment with a GP to discuss options for catch-up immunisations.
